cd release show is May 26 @ The Mint! Matsueda's sophomore album "Treat Love Kind" represents a natural evolution of his unique musical style. The album is sprinkled heavily with professional musicians, all complimenting refreshingly original vocals. Few "indie pop" acts in LA really attempt to even bother with jazz. When they do, it’s usually more of a reference to jazz than time actually spent there. Treat Love Kind approaches it with an attitude both casual and deliberate, making for a listening experience that's aesthetically pleasing.
it'll settle down Actually, it probably won't settle down until Cola-Cola is done with their tour, but damn if I can't get the chorus of this song out of my head. Of course, listening to it on repeat during an hour long traffic venture might be a factor. Check out their excellent new album, Switch On the Electric Light. -Jon
it would be bad if it was unsupervised I love a good piece of audio revolution and The Bixby Knolls delivers. Also check out the video of their live acoustic performance of this song in our Media section at http://www.isgoodmusic.com/Media/VideoGallery/79001000000.
Vanaprasta Primavera I call songs like these "memory songs" because whether you fall in love or breakup, you'll associate that time in your life with this song. It sticks to your ear canals. Look for this and other great songs from Vanaprasta's upcoming EP out March 2.
