Chase and J bird, the founding members of Black Current are transplants from Boston Ma. The two have been living and writing in Los Angeles since 2002.
All of Black Currents music aside from Guitar is composed and played live on an electronic Drum and bass machine lovingly dubbed" The Phantom".
In 2009 the decision was made to work with Human musicians and head into the Studio with the legendary Sylvia Massy (tool,Johny Cash,Tom Petty,ect).
This was followed by playing and promoting the Album with a full band throughout 2009.
Heading into 2010 Black Current decided to go back to there roots and revise some forgotten material with there good friend "The Phantom". Stay tuned in for updates on Shows and New recordings.
