FOREVER DARLING are:
Adam Unknown - vocals + lyrics, guitars, studio drums, producer
Leyla Beri - keyboards, lyrics
Formed in Los Angeles CA, 2004 FOREVER DARLING are comprised of founding members Adam Unknown (vocals, guitar, drums) and Leyla Beri (keyboards) Adam Unknown was an accomplished drummer and guitarist around the K Records, SpinART, Kill Rock Stars Northwest indie scene, opening for many great bands: Bikini Kill, Beat Happening, Heatmiser, Screaming Trees and American Music Club.
Soon after moving to Los Angeles in 2000 to compose movie soundtracks, Adam starts a band with Barbara (Dee Dee) Ramone on drums to flesh out a few instrumental songs he had written for an unreleased film. During an exhaustive search for the perfect singer, Adam then teams up with Leyla Beri, a self-taught pianist and violinist who strongly encourages him to write his own lyrics and sing, something he never considered.
After a few months of rehearsals, the band debuts at the Echo in LA to a capacity crowd, April 2004. Home recordings in 2007 led to the band’s self-released EP, of which the song "London Drugs" has received repeat airplay on KROQ by DJ Kat Corbett and was picked by LA Weekly as a top 5 song for the 2007 Detour Festival contest. DJ Mark Sovel at Indie 103.1 gave "Switchblade" a spin on his "Check, One, Two" show and in April 2008, Ourstage.com featured the track "Lonesome" on their widely distributed promotional CD sampler sent to hundreds of college radio stations and print media nationwide.
FOREVER DARLING are currently wrapping up their debut album at Satellite Park Studios in Malibu with producer Geza X (Germs, Elliot Smith, Josie Cotton, South Park Movie) and Paul Rosseler (Screamers, Deadbeats). The album will include a cover version of the band’s favorite Bjork song, "Hyperballad" The full length CD, entitled "Victim Loved Silence" will be released in 2009
