Hippie Cream are the greatest underground act you’ve never heard of. After bustling around the bars of the Inland Empire for the past few years. Hippie Cream have decided to spread their people pleasing alternative slice of Americana /indie/ pop /rock to the masses. Their sound ranges from folk to punk to reggae to oddball soft rock covers to carnival sideshow and back again. This six member act of multi-instrumentalists are sure to be the life of whatever atmosphere you’re trying to create.
And the press speaks……..
Hippie Cream’s latest release is a lo-fi masterpiece, with nary a reference point in my own field of musical expertise. I guess you could call it “outsider” music, what with the off-kilter instruments flowing in and out of the get-in-get-out song arrangements and the often silly voices the group utilizes to emote the lyrics, so… yeah, that’s probably a somewhat accurate tag. But really, trying to pigeonhole the group any further will simply make your head explode. My advice to you is to check these guys out live if there ever in your neck of the woods (even if you don‘t know there music from a hole in the wall, there stage antics are sure to leave you grinning from ear to ear…miss at your own peril)
