Newsflash,,,, the name of the "LAtin rock band" that I play bass in is Salt PEtal. They are GOOD! See if you like the style on myspace, etc. They play around at the Echo, Good hurt, Bordello, Rusty's Surf Ranch, Talking Stick, etc.
