PUPPIES AND KITTENS is the pet project of guitarist/songwriter/singer JEFF LEVITZ who is known for being the “KEITH RICHARDS” of THE BRAIN JONESTOWN MASSACRE and the “BRIAN JONES” of THE WARLOCKS.
THE WARLOCKS and THE BRIAN JONESTOWN MASSACRE are bands JEFF LEVITZ previously wrote, recorded and performed in.
On the hunt for the perfect puppy at a local pet shop, Jeff literally bumped into singer/songwriter LAURYN TYRELL who just happened to be looking for the cutest kitten. it was the classic story of chocolate/peanut butter cups. the two soon found that their perfect mixture of music, art and major soul combined into a sonic swirl of the most original, deep, dented, poetic aural pleasure.
