Founded in 2006 with original members Alfredo Lozano, Rochelle Joya, Mario Valdivia and Javier Suarez, Swing Hailey aimed to make a direct connection between the band and music supporters by producing and offering the music for cheap as well as aiming for cheaper shows. "Stories of the Boring," the bands first official EP, after the "Tu Madre Disco" Demo, was released in early 2007 was given for free as download or CD in a Dvd case, completely recorded and designed by the band. Tracks like "Cigaretto" and "Junkie Monkey" ended up being some the set favorites at shows.Javier Suarez left in 2007, for personal reasons, and the band resumed with Alfredo and Rochelle pursuing vocal work. Much of 2008 involved the writing of the music for what would become "Battle Duck 3085 beta," released in December 2008, two days before a trip to Portland. It was recorded, mixed and distributed within one week, with Sergio Vega jumping in as a second guitarist. The band plans to play more local shows within Los Angeles with a possible West Coast tour in 2009. Another disc is planned for 2009.
