Hailing from Los Angeles, The Pleasure Circus Band is a collection of nine bohemian music makers creating dance rock in it's more eclectic form. Birthed in the creative haven of CalArts, the Pleasure Circus Band is now ambitiously pursuing it's goal to be the first band in space. Ringleader, Oliwa, fronts the band with a physical intensity rarely found in the age of indie, vivaciously dancing and conducting from behind the bass guitar and under a top hat. The band is completed with horns, rhodes keyboard, drum kit, and percussion and beautiful dancing fans. In true postmodern fashion, The Pleasure Circus Band playfully and absurdly blends diverse musical elements with surprising fluidity to create a fresh new voice; a kind of celebration of the lighter side of the dark side.
