Zera Vaughan, was born in Tunisia, North Africa. A daughter of an English Painter and a French Ballet Dancer, Vaughan began her musical journey at the age of 10, as a student of the Tunisian Music Conservatory.
She moved to Paris after completing High School, studying at the Paris Music Conservatory and perfecting her voice as a regular of the French Lounge Circuit, working as well as a back-up singer.
As a multinational vocalist, Zera Vaughan has always taken the challenge to explore the links between Europe and The Middle-East, The result was her critically acclaimed debut Album : “Back to the Roots”. Considered as “a fresh taste to the genre”, and “a world beat that has been simmered to perfection”, Back to the Roots became quickly a darling of Indie Radios in the U.S. and throughout the world.
While touring with “back to the Roots”, Zera Vaughan started writing tracks for a second album, titled a “The New Seed”. Produced by famed Music and Film Composer Cyril Morin, “The new Seed” is considered an “Hommage” to Zera’s English Roots. Recording sessions have been held at Morin's home studios both in Paris and Los Angeles. this new album is a genuine blend of Rock Ballads and pop tunes, with Zera’s trade vocals crafting a sound entirely organic and genuine.
The “New Seed” is currently in the last phase of production. Stay tuned.
